We have a number of exciting opportunities for production operatives within our expanding Woven Fabrics facility, both in our yarn texturising and weaving production areas.

 

Salary guide: £13.48 per hour, including shift premium

  4-shift working pattern
14 day/night shifts every 28 days. Day and night shifts are 11.25 hours

About the departments

Our Texturising Operatives play a key and active role in the improvement of yarn performance and processibility. The Xtex department is the starting point in the production of some of Heathcoat Fabrics highest quality technical fabrics. Key responsibilities include operating machinery to a production plan, ensuring the smooth running of the yarn texturising and twisting machines, loading bulk packs of yarn, recording production weights and conducting yarn inspection for quality.

Our Weaving facility is equipped with the latest generation section warping and threading capability. Our Weaving Operatives are responsible for operating our impressive range of high technology looms and ensuring the optimum quality for the production of fabric is achieved and maintained. Key responsibilities include inspecting fabrics, identifying and remedying faults, setting up looms for production, ensuring the loom components are maintained and completing administration tasks accurately and on time.
