A desirable opportunity has arisen within our Woven Fabrics texturising department for a Process & Laboratory Technician.

About the department and the role

Our yarn texturising department ‘Xtex’ is the starting point in producing some of Heathcoat Fabrics’ highest-quality technical fabrics.

Responsibilities within the Process & Laboratory Technician role include capturing statistical analysis on all production machines and completing laboratory testing of all production yarn. Alongside this, you will support the Development Manager in product approvals. Additional tasks will include material movements and assisting in the department stocktake as required.

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience in statistical analysis
  • A logical approach
  • Six Sigma yellow or green belt qualification
  • A minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English, or equivalent
  • Attention to detail
  • Good dexterity
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
