Representatives from Heathcoat Fabrics attended the distinguished NDMA awards, held at the Barnstaple Hotel on 10th October, alongside many of the region’s top manufacturers.
Hosted by the North Devon Manufacturers Association (NDMA), the annual event is a superb celebration of innovation, teamwork, development, commercial achievement and future talent. Representation included a broad range of sectors, including composites, electronics, engineering, pharmaceuticals, precision instruments and, of course, textiles.
Product of the year
We were excited to win Product of the Year for our groundbreaking work in producing a PFAS-free material used in Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear (CBRN) protective garments. John Stimpson, Business Manager, and Harry Trelawny, Development Graduate, received the award on behalf of the company.
Apprentice of the year
Congratulations to Rhys Floyde, an apprentice in our multi-skilled engineering department, named Apprentice of the Year for his innovative, time and energy-saving project, working in collaboration with our yarn texturising department.
Innovation of the year
Additionally, we were proud to be runners-up for Innovation of the Year with our cutting-edge, non-melt, non-drip 3D PEI FR Spacer fabric designed for a broad industry base, from PPE to aerospace.
Special thanks to NDMA for a fantastic 25th-anniversary event and congratulations to everyone involved.
