“The fabric is incredibly versatile and has a rich British heritage,” Gemma continues. “John Heathcoat invented a ‘bobbinet’ lace machine back in 1808. Over the years, net fabrics manufactured by Heathcoat have been used in fashion for voluminous skirts, delicate tulle veils and intricate embellishments. It is ideal for festive decorations as it’s great to drape, shape and layer, and adds depth and texture to decorative pieces. It would be wonderful to see this historic material enjoy a revival in popularity. Join us in making this season special with the magic of UK-made textiles!”
