Electrician

We are looking for suitably qualified candidates to join our engineering department as Electrician.

About the department and the role

Our Electrician are responsible for the installation and maintenance of the Company’s site-wide electrical installation. They must ensure that the latest wiring regulations and relevant health and safety regulations are followed.

The electrical team carry out planned and preventative maintenance on all site machinery to ensure they are safe to use and in good working order. They provide support with machine breakdowns, including out of hours support for urgent breakdowns.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

Essential

• Qualified to the latest edition of BS7671 wiring regulations, or equivalent
• Experience with fault finding on large production machinery
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Good understanding and ability to fault find on LV power distribution systems
• Experience of AC/DC motor control and PLC systems

Desirable

• Understanding and practical experience of electro-mechanical automated equipment

  Monday-Friday, 8.00 am to 5.00 pm
plus on-call rota
