We are looking to recruit a Production Planner that has excellent organisational skills to work in our Woven Fabrics production department.

 

    Mon-Fri — 8.30am-5.00pm

  Up to £26,000 depending on experience

  Training, development and progression opportunities available

Role & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, you will work closely together to assist both the production teams and wider business with all aspects of production planning.  You will be responsible for

  • Creating and maintaining daily and longer-term production plans for the Weaving and Weaving Preparation departments.
  • Completing transactions on our software system to ensure stock levels are accurately maintained.
  • Gathering and reviewing data sources from the system, and production departments. This will form part of the plan shared within the immediate department and wider business areas.
  • Informing departments of any relevant changes to production schedules.
  • Assisting with carrying out physical quarterly stock takes.

Skills, knowledge and experience

As a Production Planner, you will need the following:

  • Experience of working within a Planning environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to problem solve and work on own initiative
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and other Office Programmes
  • High attention to detail with strong numerical capability
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • GCSE’s or equivalent qualifications

The following would also be beneficial to the role

  • Previous experience using planning software
  • Knowledge or previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in delivering continuous improvement to systems

As your understanding of the role and business grows, training and support will be offered to ensure you fulfil your potential. You will quickly become part of a key team in ensuring production continually maximise output and meet customer deadlines.

The role is office-based, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
